In bringing Phillips Connect online, we used our experience in heavy-duty trucking to create an open platform that consolidates sensor data from every major manufacturer into one integrated and intelligent system. The suite of Phillips Connect hardware and software is like nothing else on the market, designed to be an integrated solution for use with any size fleet. Our tracking and management products increase driver uptime, safety, and ROI, while providing complete transparency into the status of an entire fleet, all in real-time.

Founder & CEO
Rob is the 4th generation Phillips to lead the company, and his positive enthusiasm and high energy is contagious. With more than 25 years in the business, he has heavy-duty trucking running through his blood, and remains focused on delivering his customers the most innovative solutions in the industry- hands down. Rob first cut his teeth in operations, focused on organizing just-in-time manufacturing lines that eliminated all forms of non-productive work, bringing build-to-ship times in from 2 weeks to 24 hours, and nearly eliminating all quality defects. Rob is a people person who’s focused on building meaningful relationships- whether with his 1,600+ employees worldwide or customers. In 2006, Rob led Phillips Industries’ (www.Phillipsind.com) expansion into Asia, Mexico, and Europe where they are now the global leader. Much of his time today is spent driving Phillips Connect’s business development in order to realize his vision of providing the most inclusive, advanced, and intuitive platform for fleets to eliminate all non value-added activities (or waste) in their operations.
Rob has his MBA from Pepperdine University, has served as Chairman of the Heavy Duty Business Forum, and is active on multiple Boards, including the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association.
During his free time Rob enjoys spending time with his family and surfing. He has a (slight) obsession with fast cars and Apples products.
Executive Vice President
Jim brings natural talent and a lifetime experience, innovation and achievements to his role as Executive Vice President at Phillips Connect.
Jim’s entrepreneurship was forged in the late 1970s when he and a partner built their first business, a radio/TV advertising brokerage firm serving radio stations on the west coast. Later they formed the world’s first Macintosh-only retail and mail order sales company offering Macintosh computers, related peripherals and custom configurations for the desktop publishing industry, growing to $25M in a few short years. Jim’s career in telematics started in 2009. With a passion for sales Jim works closely with the Phillips Connect sales team and customers to help develop transportation telematics solutions that are truly revolutionary. While at Phillips Connect Jim is on many patents for his inventions.
Fun fact about Jim is he is in the history books as breaking the 300-mph Funny Car speed barrier on October 3rd, 1993! Jim has been married since 1982 to Susan Epler and has twin daughters and 6 grandkids. Jim enjoys motorcycling, RV’s and spending time with his wife, daughters and grandkids.
Eric is an accomplished product designer and entrepreneur with numerous patents on electronic systems and computer architecture, Collins came from humble beginnings. He grew up on a farm in Iowa and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He began his career path as a CPU designer, contributing to the design of the Unisys 2200/900 CPU mainframe operating system for the corporate world. Transitioning into a role as a chip architect, he led the development in one of the first MP3 audio player chips, and later at Motorola spearheaded the creation of the first camera cell phone in the world.
Eric was the Founder and CEO of Connected Holdings. Eric’s current role at Phillips Connect is to oversee business strategy, technology and product development, and strategic business development. In his spare time, Eric enjoys adventure and wilderness activities including motorcycling, sailing and skiing. Additionally, Eric enjoys playing the guitar and singing with friends.
Vice President of Customer & Data Insights
Smart, quick-witted and not afraid to tell it like it is, Jessica has tremendous knowledge about the industry and genuine passion for what she does. Her role at Phillips Connect is to support customers and to work with the Phillips Connect development team to build and improve the customer experience in our cloud services including our website, mobile app, installation tool and other professional services.
She has over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry in customer service, fleet management, load planning, logistics and asset management and has worked with a variety of product lines.
She keeps busy by spending as much time as she can with her family and friends and loves to dote on her six nieces and three nephews. Jessica is a terrible tennis player but loves to play as often as possible and will trash talk even in a 0-6 set.
Vice President of Operations
Greg is driven, organized and a great communicator. He takes on the role of Vice President of Operations at Phillips Connect. Greg started his career in Telematics and Telecom over 20 years ago as a software engineer. Early developer of SAAS platforms and lead the team that architected and developed first SAAS based internet banking solutions in the 1990’s. Operations led to M&A team for 5 company acquisitions and 3 company sales.
Greg is married to Jill, and they have 3 children, all who are now living on their own giving Greg and Jill free time to travel, bike, and ski.
Vice President of Engineering
There is nothing Gil loves more than bringing whiteboard concepts to life and making them work in the real world. Dr. Gil Winograd brings 25 years of discipline in system design, electrical and computer engineering, and software, to Phillips Connect. He leads the engineering team, developing systems from the core cellular modem trackers to the full-featured trailer gateway sensor hubs. Dr. Winograd joined Phillips Connect through the acquisition of Connected Holdings, where he served as Vice President of Engineering. In this role, he was responsible for IoT products that are currently deployed in over 8 million installations.
Gil enjoys keeping his mind busy on the weekends with family board-games, puzzles, and playing violin in a chamber music group.
Director of Cloud Services
Brent is curious, innovative and enjoys designing and building interesting and complex “things”. He gets a lot done and is quite independent.
Brent is a software executive with a proven track record of designing and delivering software from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Brent has held significant technical and leadership roles for some of the largest online properties in the world including espn.com, nba.com, nfl.com and e*trade.com. Additionally, Brent has co-founded several venture funded technology companies in San Francisco. Earlier in his career, Brent spent several years leading large enterprise projects for The Boeing Company. Brent holds a Master of Science in Finance and undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics.
Brent is an avid mountain biker with a passion for adventure both on the water and on land.
Director of Sales Engineering
Cliff gets excited about providing industry changing telematics solutions for fleets. Cliff’s 20 years of experience in fleet maintenance gives Phillips Connect great insights into the maintenance needs of major fleets. In his role at Phillips Connect, Cliff is a Subject Matter Expert on all Phillips Connect products, with responsibility for evaluating new sensor solutions and working with OEMs and customers to design easily installed telematics solutions that meet their needs. Cliff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a MBA from the College of William & Mary.
During his free time, Cliff enjoys spending time with his family and working on classic cars.
Director of Customer Service
Director of Channel Sales
Kent brings nearly a decade of business development and sales experience in commercial transportation to his role as Director of Channel Sales at Phillips Connect. His leadership mentality, competitive spirit, and work ethic are three of many traits that drive him to better serve clients every day. Kent has developed a passion for the transportation industry and prides himself on a consultative selling approach serving customers according to their best interests.
Kent holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Presbyterian College, where he was a 4 year letterman on the Division 1 Golf Team. In his spare time, you can find him on the golf course, fishing, or (most importantly) spending time with his wife Chelsea and their two golden retrievers Lola and Lottie.
Director of Marketing
Creativity, drive, and leadership are Amber’s greatest strengths. She thrives in challenges that require her to think quickly on her feet. Her competitive nature, team mentality, and robust background in marketing make her perfect for her role as Marketing Director at Phillips Connect. She received her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports and Entertainment Marketing. Most recently she held a position as Senior Marketing Services Manager with the National Hot Rod Association. As Director of Marketing, Amber is responsible for the overall brand image, while creating and leading the growth and exposure for Phillips Connect.
Amber is a tri-athlete and enjoy water skiing, off-roading, and traveling. She is married and enjoys being mommy to Jaxen. She has an adorable French bulldog named Macaroon. Easiest way to remember her name is it's three colors, Amber Rose White.
